I am a game programmer with a focus on gameplay and AI. I’ve been coding since 2017. I graduated in May 2023 from Champlain College with a BS in Game Programming and a minor in math.

That Potato Game

  • That Potato Game is a third person physics based puzzle game where you play as a potato trying to escape whatever room you happen to be in.

  • The player must explore the room to find things to help them escape the room such as NPCs who will assist the player or point them in the right direction, and abilities which let them interact with the environment in new ways.

  • Team size: 11

    Project length: 7 months

    I joined this team halfway through development along with 3 others.

    As a generalist programmer my contributions were the electricity system and related effects, and miscellanies fixes and improvements.

Cursal Reversal

  • Cursal Reversal is a 2.5D action fantasy roguelite with focuses on potion crafting, ingredient collection, and combat mechanics.

  • The gameplay loop consisted of the player going out into the forest, fighting enemies and collecting ingredients, then they would return to town and use those ingredients to create potions which would allow them to go further into the forest and collect rarer ingredients.

  • Team size: 7

    Project length: 3 months

    As the lead programmer my contributions were the dungeon generation, enemy AI, player attack system, potion crafting system, and potion buff system.

  • This Ship Ain’t Kraken is a goofy co-op party game that puts you at the heart of a sea invasion of epic proportions. This Ship Ain’t Kraken brings the fun that comes with couch co-op party games, and combines it with a high stakes thrilling experience. Set sail with your party of four rat crew members, and travel the seven seas in search of a mystical beast: the Kraken. Due to the recent uproar of ships being lost at sea, you and your crew set out to prove that this is just another folk tale blown out of proportion. Loose your sails, load your cannons and prepare to survive the living legend that is the Kraken!

  • You and your friends must work together to fend off the Kraken while it causes damage to your ship by plugging leeks, bailing water, etc. so that when the opportunity comes you can unload your cannons at the Kraken to deal damage.

  • Team size: 9

    Project length: 4 months

    As a programmer my contributions were the tasks, Kraken attacks, game balance, and bugfixing.


Wehr and Tehr’s Temporal Troubles

  • Wehr and Tehr’s Temporal Troubles is a 2D puzzle platformer where the player must solve a set of puzzles using their ability to go back in time and work with their past selfs.

  • The player can “reset“ the puzzle at any time and by doing so creates a clone of themselves which does whatever actions they did before the reset the puzzle. They can use these clones to help complete the puzzle by holding down buttons, using levers, ect.

  • Team size: 7

    Project length: 6 weeks

    As a programmer my contributions were the hazards, fan, level construction, and animation implementation.
